Hero of 2006

Dr. Muhammad Yunus (Bengali: মুহাম্মদ ইউনুস, pronounced Muhammôd Iunūs) (born June 28, 1940), is a Bangladeshi banker and economist. He is the developer of the concept of microcredit, (founded by Pakistani Dr. Akhter Hameed Khan ), the extension of small loans to entrepreneurs too poor to qualify for traditional bank loans. Yunus is also the founder of Grameen Bank. In 2006, Yunus and the bank were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, "for their efforts to create economic and social development from below."[1] Yunus himself has received several other international honors, including the ITU World Information Society Award, Ramon Magsaysay Award, the World Food Prize and the Sydney Peace Prize. He is the author of Banker to the Poor and a founding board member of Grameen Foundation.-wikipedia
Best of 2006!
There were many great things about 2006. Here is my top five things I experienced in 2006.
1.) My Awesome Friends!!!!
2.) Lollapalooza
3.) Sitting front row at Conan when he came to Chicago (Guests were: Dave Chapelle and Common)
4.) Seeing the Bears vs. Lions game in Detroit.( While staying at the same hotel as the team)
5.) New Years Eve with Local H and friends ( Tickets to New years concert and open bar: $60, Hotel Room $70, Watching a drunk friend Piss all over the dresser in the hotel room: Priceless)
What will 2007 bring? Hopefuly a new Job, but who knows????

" Have you even been at a really loud party where the music is deafening, and in order to be heard you have to scream at the top of your lungs? Even if you're talking to the person right next to you? But then often, the music stops suddenly and everyone quites down at the same time. And only your voice is being heard, ringing accross the room: 'CHARLIE, I'M GONNA GET MY TESTICLES LAMINATED!' And everyone turns to look at Charlie's interesting friend."
